Severe Weather Season Unofficially Tomorrow, are YOU prepared?

Well we're entering that time of year, Severe weather season! And the biggest question to ask someone, "are YOU prepared?" Well if you take some simple steps, you will be able to make it through this years severe weather season. First off, let's take a look at the difference between a Tornado Watch and a Tornado Warning. A tornado watch simply means that there is a threat for Tornadoes in the watch area and you need to be on alert for the possibility of tornadoes. A Tornado warning means that there has been a confirmed tornado on the ground or a Doppler radar indication of a Tornado. If a tornado warning is issued, you need to do one of the following:
(1) Take shelter in a Basement.
(2) If you don't have a basement, get in a closet or a sturdy room and put as many walls between you and outside as possible
(3) Abandon all cars AND mobile homes and get in a ditch or ravine, preferably a ditch that doesn't have a lot of water running in it.
(4) Stay AWAY From Windows.
(5) Wait for all clear.
Here are a couple of things needed when taking shelter
(1) A Flashlight
(2) Weather Radio OR if your local news station has one of these, an iPhone app that allows you to watch their LIVE severe weather coverage.
(3) Any possible Identification.
