SPC Has issued a Moderate Risk for Sunday! Indicating a possibly major severe wx/tornado outbreak in the making!

SPC has placed a MODERATE Risk of Severe Weather for the Ark-La-Tex region of the US for Sunday. This risk includes Southeast TX, Southwest AR, Northwest LA, and Northeast TX. This is an indication that there could be a tornado outbreak and or severe weather outbreak in this area. The primary risks include Large Hail, Damaging Winds, and Tornadoes (some could be strong). Latest GFS Models showing that storms will start early at around 6 AM in Central Oklahoma and progress Eastward as the day goes on. As the temperature increases, these storms could become very strong and possibly go tornadic. GFS Models also showing that temps in this region will be in the 60s-80s. One thing that we are hoping will NOT happen on Sunday in this region is sunshine. Because sunshine is one of the key ingredients for tornadoes. We're also hoping that the cap doesn't break on Sunday. If it does, then there will be explosive supercell development. Stay tuned to TWNS throughout the weekend for expert analysis, hourly radar updates, and live reports from storm chasers.
