MODERATE RISK UPDATE: Brand New Moderate Risk issued for Monday, Moderate Risk for Sunday increases in size....

For the past couple of days, the experts at TWNS have been following a very strong low pressure system that everyone believes will cause a significant round of severe weather. SPC has issued a Brand New Moderate Risk for Monday. This new moderate risk includes West TN (Memphis), Northern MS, Extreme Eastern AR, Northeastern LA, Extreme Southwestern KY, and a Sliver of Northwestern AL. Main threats according to SPC are Damaging Winds, Large Hail, and tornadoes (some could be strong). Flash Flooding is possible considering there is a Flash Flood Watch issued by NWS Memphis. The Moderate Risk that was already issued for tomorrow has increased in size. The modified moderate risk covers most of Central AR, Southwestern MO, Southeastern KS, Eastern OK, Northeastern TX, and Northern LA. Main risks according to the SPC are Large Hail and Tornadoes. Stay with TWNS throughout this weekend, we'll keep you informed ahead of the storm.
